I stumbeled accross a couple of major problems here, I was planning to use VMWare Server 1.06, but after alot of research and googling, There were no clear answers on whether Server 2008 was supported as a host operating system for VMWare.
After testing this out myself, I find that the services for VMWare refuse to start, and thus obviously meaning the answer is no.
I now have two more options, Use VMWare Server Beta 2, which has a clumsy web interface instead of the GUI tool, or Use Microsoft's Hyper-V add-on.
With Hyper-V being new technology, and the fact that the server will be used in production, I decided to shy away from using Server 2008 as a host, and settle for Windows Server 2003 64-Bit Instead.
