So, with the Virtual Machine created, Powered on and Sitting at the VMWare Splash Screen, The installation began.
I used the Windows Server 2003 64-Bit option when creating the virtual machine, there is no direct 2008 option.
As I am only testing at the moment, I did not enter a CD-Key, and selected the Server 2008 Enterprise option. Installation took about half an hour, and before long, I was presented with options to change the administrator password and a vista lookalike desktop.
As we are running in the virtual environment, you require no drvice drivers, VM Ware uses well down hardware, e.g. Intel Pro 1000 Network Cards, all of which, drivers are pre-installed with Server 2008.
